What is covered
- Damp-proof course installation and remedial plaster systems
- Cavity drain membrane and structural waterproofing installations
- Timber treatment against woodworm, dry rot and wet rot
- Salt-retardant render and tanking applications
- Workmanship defects arising from our installation
What is not covered
- New defects in the building fabric that arise after our works — a failed gutter, a cracked render panel or a new roof leak
- Condensation caused by changes in how the property is heated, ventilated or occupied
- Damage caused by third-party alterations to our installed system
- Areas explicitly excluded or deferred in your written specification
Your certificate and specification are the definitive documents for your property. Where this page and your paperwork differ, the paperwork governs.
The things people ask before signing
Yes. The guarantee is attached to the property and transfers to a new owner, which is one of the reasons buyers and lenders ask for it during a sale.
It means the guarantee is backed by an independent insurance-backed scheme, so the cover does not depend solely on our company continuing to trade. Your certificate names the provider and the policy term.
Yes, and they are ordinary building maintenance: keep rainwater goods clear, keep external ground levels below the damp-proof course, maintain render and pointing, and heat and ventilate the property reasonably.
On completion and after final payment, with your handover pack — including the stage photographs and the specification the works were carried out against.
Call us. We attend, re-survey, and where the fault sits inside our workmanship we put it right at no cost. Where it turns out to be a new, unrelated building defect we will tell you that in writing too.
