When damp appears in a first-floor ceiling, at the top of a chimney breast, or in a corner under a parapet, the cause is above head height. We investigate the roofline as part of the survey rather than treating the internal symptom and hoping.
We carry out the roofing work that stops ingress — flashings, valleys, verges, tiles, chimney repointing and flaunching — and we tell you plainly when a roof needs a re-cover rather than another patch.

Roofing and Chimneys — answered
High-level damp usually is, but condensation in a cold loft produces very similar staining. We check both before specifying scaffold and roof work.
We carry out repairs and localised re-covering. Where a full replacement is genuinely needed we will say so rather than sell repeated patching.
Once ingress has stopped, the structure needs to dry before replastering — usually a few weeks, faster with controlled drying equipment.
