Book a survey for this issue
1/3Takes under a minute. A qualified surveyor attends — never a salesperson.
No obligation, no sales visit. Your details are used only to arrange the survey.
A survey is only worth having if it commits to a diagnosis. Ours names the mechanism, shows the readings behind it, sets out what needs doing and separates the urgent from the cosmetic. It is written to be read by a homeowner, a valuer or a housing officer.
We survey for private homeowners, buyers with a retention on their mortgage offer, landlords facing a disrepair claim, and managing agents who need an independent position. The complimentary survey covers most domestic enquiries; formal reports for legal or transactional use are quoted separately.

From first reading to registered guarantee
The same five stages on every job, whether it is one wall or a whole property.
- 01
Booking and access
A two-hour arrival window, one named surveyor, and a request for any prior reports or quotes you hold.
- 02
Internal assessment
Room-by-room readings, relative humidity and surface temperature, sub-floor inspection where hatches allow.
- 03
External assessment
Ground levels, DPC line, pointing, render, roofline, flashings and rainwater goods.
- 04
Reporting
A written report with annotated photographs, findings, causes and a prioritised schedule of works.
- 05
Discussion
We talk you through it. If the right answer is a plumber or a roofer rather than us, the report says so.
Everything this specification can cover
Your quotation lists only what your property needs. Anything not required is simply not on it.

- Calibrated moisture and hygrometry readings
- Annotated photographic record
- Named diagnosis, not a list of possibilities
- Prioritised schedule of remedial works
- Fixed-price quotation where works are recommended
- Report formats suitable for lenders and legal use
Damp Surveys and Reports — answered
For domestic damp, mould and timber enquiries in our coverage area, yes — the visit and the findings cost you nothing and carry no obligation. Formal reports for court, insurance or mortgage retention purposes are chargeable because of the evidential standard required.
Between forty-five minutes and two hours depending on property size and how much needs opening up.
No. The surveyor is not on commission. You get the findings, then a written quotation to consider in your own time.
